Ours is a bold, courageous choice. It stems from a love of the earth we respect and a love of life. Together we continue and breathe new life into a path that began more than 40 years ago and that each of us has elaborated into a single daily value, that of sustainability.
The real protagonist is nature, which regulates itself and does not stop, follows its course without human intervention and gives life to the wonders that surround us.
We want to remove everything that is not necessary, get to the true essence of things, take advantage of the synergies that nature offers us and enjoy the fruits without consequences. We want to experiment to achieve excellence and share the result of our work with you.
We want to introduce you to our journey into the future and tell you about it, grape by grape, wine by wine.
Discovering Piwi Wines - Chapter 1 - "Huakai - The Journey"
It takes courage to set out and face the unknown, it takes curiosity and a healthy dose of recklessness to leave the beaten path and take the uphill road, the one that is not marked on maps. It is a challenge against ourselves that is stronger than the fear of making mistakes because, in our hearts, we know that the future lies in that direction and that toward that direction our journey begins.
It all started from the organic vineyards that we live in every day and follow with great care. We, however, wanted to go further. To find out what lay beyond the Herculean pillars of our rows, so we set out starting our journey, knowing that our winery, our home, is and always will be the safe place to return to.
We landed in a new and unknown place, made of bright colors, sounds and scents we had never heard before where we discovered HUAKAI, which in Asian etymologies means precisely "journey," the moving from one place to another. HUAKAI is a white wine, but it is not an ordinary wine, it has different scents among which we recognize apple, peach, apricot and vanilla but it is shrouded in an aura of mystery, the result of a thicker shell and much deeper roots. HUAKAI is a PIWI white wine, a testament to the fact that the journey is leading us down the right paths and into a future where the sustainability of our organic vineyards goes hand in hand with an equally interesting project. The beginning of a new era.
This discovery spurs us to continue our journey: the path is the right one and armed with curiosity and desire for discovery we continue to explore it.
