...among the most beautiful in Italy!
The new 'wine cathedrals', signed by the big names of international architecture, are real tourist attractions where aesthetics and design, technology and functionality converge." This is how Costanza Ruggeri's article for SkyTG 24 begins, which decrees between wine and architecture the most beautiful design wineries in Italy! We are proud that our facility was also included in this special and important ranking, which converts the world of wine into the world of design, with a modern and sustainable vision of these small "jewel houses"!
Our winery is a project signed MADE associati, a studio of Treviso architects Adriano Marangon and Michela De Poli. The office area is structured to be the representative image of the winery and presents a direct relationship with the open space by having on the ground floor a reception area, a sales point and a laboratory area. A suspended walkway is the trait-d'union between the various spatial levels of the architecture and all the production phases, in an ideal continuity, not only visual, of the path that starts from the vineyard and arrives at the goblet.
The building has a "skin" consisting of a cladding-filter made of vertically placed wooden planks of PEFC-certified Cansiglio Beech, the oxidation of which will contribute, over time, to the integration of the structure into the landscape. The paved outdoor space is used at events and demonstrations related to the company's activities.
Our winery was a radical choice that aims to involve every aspect of the production process over time: from the use of clean energy, self-generated thanks to a photovoltaic system placed on the winery's roof, with its 570 solar panels installed in 2017, to the reduction of waste through state-of-the-art equipment such as the biological and energy-efficient water purifier.
You can book Bio Tours and guided tastings and visit our organic and vegan wine store!
Come by and visit us and immerse yourself in our healthy and unspoiled lands: the tours are intended to be eno-gastronomic experiences that, through wine tastings, give a taste of the history and typicality of an area. Visits to the winery last about 1 1/2 hours and each one has its own special features, starting with a walk through the vineyards, passing by a suspended walkway that will allow visitors to learn about every moment of the journey, from the grapes to the bottle, to tasting in the winery. The tour will end with a tasting of the winery's organic wines.
We offer the following types of guided tours and wine tasting:
Bio Tour Tradition, through which you will learn about the essence of Cantina Pizzolato by delving into the history of the Pizzolato family, the area in which it operates and the Palladian villa that saw the birth and development of the winery we see today.
Bio Tour Prosecco Experience, a full immersion in the land of Prosecco DOC that has been guarded for generations by the hands of winemakers who safeguard it, a tour that will tell you all the secrets of the world's most famous bubbles.
Bio Tour Raboso Experience, a tour that will tell the story of the Raboso grape variety from which a wine with ancient origins is made, whose name, many historians claim, derives from the namesake tributary of the Piave River, a historic river to the homeland during World War I.
Bio Tour "PIWI", which will introduce you to the new PIWI wines, undisputed protagonists of the future of organic, that is, wines from vines resistant to fungal diseases typical of viticulture, developed in organic research.
Organic Bike Tour, in which we will accompany you along a 4-kilometer route immersing you in our organic vineyard countryside. The nine stages that will be explained by our staff will give you even more insight into the world of organic.
"A winery that is always on the move and is transformed into a great place for sharing and excitement through evenings, events and activities aimed at everyone. My design pushes for greater affordability of finished products and accessibility for all wallets from now open on Saturdays and Sundays as well."- Settimo Pizzolato.
Over the years, the winery has seen the succession of numerous successes and mentions from an architectural point of view: one of the most important was certainly the entry into the Arcipelago Italia during the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale as a "project created respecting the surrounding landscape set-up according to philosophies that make architecture take on those criteria of social responsibility."
