As of November 2019, this project allows us to recycle silicone paper discarded during the bottle labeling process.

The classic smooth dress that wine wears is ready to acquire new forms and identity by transforming into a design object. A sinuous encounter between art, fashion and beauty. M-Use is the champion of experimentation and contamination between different worlds, following the fundamental concepts of REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE.

Its name is inspired by the Greek gods of art and beauty and MULTIUSE, a primordial concept that positions respect for the environment and attention to materials as the basis of design. By purchasing M-Use you will take part in an eco-sustainable project that begins in the earth and continues in your table. You will be the one to make M-Use the perfect setting to beautify your home.

In November 2019, our winery joined the project proposed by the Avery Dennison Group and their partner Cycle4green, which enables the recycling of silicon paper discarded during the bottle labeling process.

Founded in 2009, Cycle4green is a Finnish company that is a leader in the implementation of silicon paper material recycling technologies and specialized Liner recycling services. A project that estimates CO2 emission savings of 2.02 tons for every ton of liner waste recycled. Recycling paper waste also reduces water consumption by 37 m3 / ton (compared to materials from virgin fiber).

Here is what Cycle4Green tells us, "This year is the tenth year we have offered our special recycling solution for this material. We are pleased to see that there is a growing interest and trend toward recycling. Our recycling service is a closed-loop solution that brings the material back into the same end uses. This also responds very well to the ambitious targets set for the circular economy in the EU. We also hope that recycled papers, being renewable and recyclable, will gain more ground in label products. This would further increase sustainability in labeling and packaging."

How does the project come to fruition?

The waste collected inside the recovery boxes, provided by the sponsoring company, is transformed into a new reel of coated paper used for printing. In this way, technologies have made it possible to reinvent in a different way the use of resources and in doing so contribute, with a very positive impact, to the preservation of the planet; this makes possible a clear reduction of CO2 emissions into the environment, waste, electricity, as well as a saving of water.

Our results

In 2022, we recycled 5.4 tons of silicon paper waste in excellent condition and perfectly packaged, ready to become recycled printing paper resulting in an estimated reduction of 10.3 tons of CO₂ equivalent.

In 2021, we loaded 7 tons of silicon paper reels in excellent condition, resulting in an estimated reduction of 13.4 tons of CO2 equivalent.

Currently, waste label backing paper is recycled into various recycled papers. These recycled papers include office printing paper (e.g., copy paper), advertising inserts, and magazine paper. Small quantities are also going to recycled label paper hoping that the use of recycled label papers will grow in this market.
