We began our journey toward sustainability in 1985, with no real awareness that we were on the road that would lead us to support the proper development of our company in the area where it is located.
"With one foot in the past and one eye on the future, we were ready to take up challenges and turn them into opportunities. Organic farming, energy conservation, and territorial welfare were goals achieved with time and dedication but in which we believed from the start. Careful guidance, with speed control thrown in, to create a shared value that would last over time and not be a fire destined to go out with the speed of a passing fad: no one in '85 was talking about sustainability, when faced with the crossroads between conventional and organic, so many entrepreneurs were perhaps too focused on their own present, choosing the "all and now," not caring about the often damaging effects that business choices can have on an entire socio-territorial network.

Before, the road to sustainability was a dirt path and many times difficult to travel. Now everything has changed. Today it is a 6-lane highway, in perfect American style, along which you can drive with assisted driving. For the past 7 years, Assindustria Veneto Centro has been bringing together companies from a wide variety of sectors, the most diverse among them, and organizing visits and comparison meetings, certain of how dialogue between different sectors and the comparison of sustainable actions linked to precise goals can provide stimulation and input to the companies that listen. Each company opens its doors and unvarnished tells its story. The basic idea is to let "those who know" or rather "those who do" speak by drawing on the experiences told, the knowledge and the ideas of sustainability that the company lives every day. Our journey has taken us to visit woodworking factories, bakeries, pasta factories, steel mills, and other numerous businesses in the Treviso area. From each experience we have learned a lot, filled our baggage and made improvements in our company that have taken us a few more steps up the sustainability ladder. Yes, because what the companies participating in this project have in common is an absolute desire to be proactive subjects, promoters of social innovations that we hope anticipate real cultural changes.
The deep conviction and energy undertaken in these corporate projects told and shared want to get as close as possible to that image of the world we wish we could leave to our children and our future: a one-way street!"
