15 years of wines without added sulfites: organic takes on color, shape and fragrance!

Our line of wines without added sulfites turns 15 years old: since 2007, they have been the true expression of organic wine for us!

Wines without added sulfites represent in every way the expression of the organic and vegan concept that our winery has always sought.

The Villorba countryside located within the Prosecco DOC area where our winery is located, is a real green lung, a clean and uncontaminated environment, free from chemicals where with hard work and a lot of passion we manage to give life to healthy, good and genuine organic wines that can be hosted on everyone's tables.

Precisely to follow the green philosophy that has always animated Cantina Pizzolato and because of the great respect we have for the health of consumers, we wanted to confirm over time our desire for experimentation and innovation by starting to producea line of wines without added sulfites in2007. The line, which initially included three red wines: Cabernet Sauvignon IGT Veneto, Merlot IGT Veneto and Vino Rosso IGT Veneto, has as its testimonial of excellence the dragonfly, a graceful and graceful insect that lives serenely in our vineyards and is synonymous with a clean environment, free of chemical contamination and rich in its natural biodiversity.

Looking back over its history in our minds, we can say that our wines without added sulfites have come a long way. The first Cabernet born in 2007 and demanded mainly by the American market, where to be defined as "organic" (organic) and thus receive USDA Organic certification, a wine must be sulfite-free, was followed by Merlot and Rosso Convento, a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet, and finally a sparkling Prosecco DOC in 2011, which became sparkling in 2015.

These wines are an excellent solution for people intolerant to certain preservatives such as sulfur dioxide, a component that in conventional wines is added in doses that could cause, for example, headaches. Further research has led us to find that sulfite-free wines develop a minimal dosage of histamines, also responsible for various allergies in predisposed individuals.

We currently export wines without added sulfites mainly to the United States and, in particular, the products are offered in the chain of stores dedicated to organic Wholefoods. Although in smaller quantities, these wines are marketed throughout Europe, and as for the Italian market, they are sold in the NaturaSì supermarket chain, which specializes in vegan and organic niche products.
