We are proud to announce that our winery has officially achieved Equalitas certification, thanks to which we are ready to walk the road to real and palpable, but most importantly, measurable sustainability!

After the milestone achieved by becoming a benefit company and placing goals related to the environment, land and people in our corporate charter, we immediately embarked on the path to receive Equalitas certification and to certify our organization first and foremost.

EQUALITAS was created with the aim of promoting the sustainability of the wine sector through a vision and approach that unites the demands of business, society and the market.

Equalitas' first goal is to share at the Italian level a unique approach to the sustainability of the wine sector based on the three pillars principles, social, environmental and economic, and to the dissemination of a collective label as a guarantee for the consumer.

Equalitas provides for the certification of three production dimensions: the enterprise (Organization standard), the finished product (Product standard), and the designations for sustainability (Territory standard). Following the certification obtained, three different logos can then be used to guarantee the consumer.

Our winery has begun this journey by obtaining to date the Sustainable Organization certification with the possibility of using the "sustainable winery" logo and the Environmental - Etichal - Economical logo.

The Organization certification was created to cover all aspects that the business encounters in its production chain and is based on an annual audit that aims to verify the following aspects: product quality assurance (production chain and traceability of raw materials);
- workplace safety;
- energy and water consumption;
- waste management and its responsible disposal;
- the well-being of employees and the work environment;
- the surrounding community and the relationship with the territory;
- transparent communication to all stakeholders towards the company.

Certification also includes continuous, demonstrable improvement, and annual follow-up audits by qualified auditors who certify the company's progress from year to year.

"This new certification spurs us to improve more and more in the social and environmental spheres: looking mainly at the carbon footprint, reducing CO2 emissions; the water footprint, incentivizing water savings; and recycling and reuse, aiming to define the 'end-of-life' of products. What we have achieved is an important milestone: the Equalitas certification not only demonstrates Cantina Pizzolato 's focus on the environment, but also the importance of our team and the community around us. Building corporate welfare for us has always been a key goal, in order to create a work climate that is always positive, putting the communication and well-being of the worker first.
We have been an organic company for more than forty years and we have always been very attentive to the impact we have on the environment around us, so we are always trying to improve and create new sustainable projects. What we care about is KNOWING HOW TO DO IT and then LET IT BE KNOWN by communicating to the end consumer with transparency, consistency and making the topic of sustainability somewhat CONTAINABLE so that it reaches different audiences. For us, sustainability is rooted in our company's 40-year organic history, lives its present by setting social responsibility goals, and looks to the future by facing new challenges such as Piwi resistant vines."
