Territory, production, wines, people, projects. These are just a few concepts of our company's sustainable development. With highlights 2022 we present to you the highlights of the social report.
The year 2022 brought great news to Cantina Pizzolato. The year got off to a turbulent start-it was a year of change and positivity.
With highlights 2022 we present to you what are the highlights of all the challenges we faced. The goal is to transparently tell employees, customers, the environment and society about Cantina Pizzolato policies and commitments and the company's impact in the social and environmental context.
As never before in 2022, we have put PEOPLE at the center of what we do. The well-being of workers is fundamental to building a relationship of trust and serenity within the group. We consolidated our corporate wellness path "LISTEN TO US" with the coach who followed the various aspects of an important project involving all the Pizzolato team. We then introduced get-togethers to increase group unity by organizing 5 company aperitifs and a full-day Christmas outing. These get-together moments also help newcomers feel at home, part of the big Pizzolato family.
We have reached another important milestone: we have become a BENEFIT COMPANY by amending our corporate bylaws by committing annually to pursue one or more goals that have a positive effect (or reduce a negative one) on people, society and the environment.
"We are proud to have becomea BENEFIT SOCIETY. Cantina Pizzolato has always stood out for its attention to the environment, implementing practices aimed at sustainable development and focusing since its origins on organic farming, in times when it was not yet thinkable. This is a significant commitment for me and my family, who are currently at the helm of the winery, but the real purpose of becoming SB is linked above all to the future generations that will be at the helm of this company whose footprint will remain structured and stable in this way"-explains Settimo Pizzolato, owner of La Cantina Pizzolato.
Our sustainable commitment also continues to wines with the "BACK TO BASIC" project with which we contribute to the goals of Agenda 2030. The introduction of the "M-USE" line to combine elegant style with the idea of reuse and recycling. PIWI wines also contribute to environmental sustainability as they are made from vines resistant to major life-threatening diseases, so chemical treatments are reduced.
